Enjoy Your Summer for Free!

The Buffalo area is full of exciting things to do. We’ve found the top five things to do in and around Buffalo this summer that won’t cost you a dime!

Larkin Square

Larkin Square is an outdoor park where you can hang out with tons of free things to do on a weekly basis! You can play free mini golf, do some hula hooping, kick back in some Adirondack-style seating, or walk across the covered boardwalk.

On Mondays, they offer free fitness classes as part of the Fitness in the Parks program. You can also attend Food Truck Tuesday with free live music and tons of food trucks. On Wednesdays, you can listen to live bands thanks to the Live at Larkin summer concert series.


Canalside is a 21-acre park with concerts, water sports, and simple lounging in Adirondack-style chairs. It also offers outdoor lawn games, a boardwalk overlooking the canal, a naval/military park, and more.

River Fest Concert Series

If you’re really into music, attend the River Fest Concert Series at Buffalo River Fest Park. Experience weekly concerts while relaxing on the lawn. Check out their lineup!

Delaware Park

One of the Buffalo Olmsted Park Conservancy’s first three parks in Buffalo, Delaware Park is the Central Park of Buffalo. You can hike the trails, enjoy the lakes, watch free Shakespeare in the park performances, or take advantage of the park’s tennis courts, basketball courts, baseball fields, and soccer fields.

Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls State Park has plenty to do for free and is a must see while you’re in Buffalo. It’s free to walk around in the park, and there are plenty of trails and walking paths where you can take in the falls’ natural beauty. This is a place that you’ll have to see to believe!
